Speculation linking Barcelona superstar Neymar with a shock move to Manchester United has intensified after the Brazilian’s international agent Pini Zahavi was spotted at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Sun, who broke the story that Manchester United were pursuing a deal for Neymar on Friday, have obtained a photograph of Zahavi watching the 0-0 draw against Newcastle on Saturday afternoon.

Furthermore, the British newspaper has obtained quotes from the Israeli super-agent, who confirmed United are keen to sign the world-class forward.

“I have nothing to say about this,” Zahavi was quoted as saying by The Sun, “but it is normal such a giant club as Manchester United would wish to win the services of Neymar, the best player in the world.

”It would be astonishing if United pulled off such a coup, but they are making a play for him.”

Neymar is unlikely to join Man Utd

It seems extremely unlikely that Manchester United will sign Neymar before the transfer window closes on September 1.

Barcelona have no desire to sell the South American, who scored 39 goals for the Catalan giants last season and should give both teammate Lionel Messi and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo a serious run for their money when the voting for the 2015 Ballon d’Or gets underway later this year.

In truth, Manchester United are wasting their time with Neymar, who won’t be leaving the Camp Nou any time soon.

Ed Woodward and co. are best off looking at more obtainable transfer targets in order to strengthen Manchester United for the remainder of the 2015-16 campaign.
