Manchester City: Predicted XI v Everton

Published 1 Comments

Football News

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini must decide whether to stick or twist when his side travel to Goodison Park to face Everton on Sunday.

The Citizens have made a perfect start to the Premier League campaign, brushing aside West Brom at the Hawthorns before taking champions Chelsea apart at the Etihad Stadium.

Defensive stability

Pellegrini will be hoping for more of the same after back-to-back 3-0 wins, and one thing that certainly won't change is Joe Hart starting between the sticks for the visitors.

With Pablo Zabaleta set for a spell on the sidelines, Bacary Sagna will continue on the right whilst Aleksandar Kolarov has done nothing wrong on the left. Vincent Kompany appears back to his best alongside Eliaquim Mangala at the heart of defence.

In defensive midfield, Fernandinho was superb against and will start again alongside Yaya Toure, who has a licence to roam forward and add another dimension in attack.

Navas out?

David Silva sits in-front of that pair as the creative force of the side, with Raheem Sterling on one flank and Samir Nasri on the other in place of Jesus Navas, who will be unfortunate to miss out.

Up-front, striker Sergio Aguero is among the best in the business, with Wilfred Bony ready to make an impact off the substitutes bench when required.

Manchester City predicted XI v Everton:

Hart; Sagna, Kompany, Mangala, Kolarov; Fernandinho, Yaya Toure; Sterling, Silva, Nasri; Aguero.
