Football News
Villarreal defender Javi Venta has lamented the injury problems that are plaguing the Primera Liga high-flyers.

Fabricio Fuentes recently underwent an operation on a knee injury that will keep him out for six months, while Pascal Cygan, Marcos Senna, Matias Fernandez and Josemi have all been struggling with various problems this week.

The latest player to be sidelined is full-back Angel Lopez, who is set to be out for up to 10 days after suffering a knee injury while on international duty for Spain on Wednesday. Venta said: "The saddest thing for the players who go away with their national team is to come back injured,"
