Feyenoord midfielder Jonathan de Guzman has made himself available for selection for Holland after being granted Dutch citizenship.

The Toronto-born player is ready to disappoint his birth country Canada, whom his brother Julian represents, and pledge his international allegiance to the Oranje.

He told De Telegraaf: "It is up to the national team coaches Foppe de Haan and Marco van Basten to decide if they want to select me. But when that happens I am ready and I would consider it to be a great honour."
