Arsenal to miss out on La Liga ace thanks to Man United flop

Published 2 Comments

Arsenal fans can look forward to the tentative links with Real Madrid’s Asier Illarramendi being rubbed out once and for all, with the Spanish midfielder looking likely to re-sign with Real Sociedad. The La Liga outfit, now managed by Manchester United flop David Moyes, are supposedly on the brink of securing a deal for Illarramendi, despite the fact that both Arsenal and Liverpool were believed to be interested in him. It now remains to be seen whether or not Arsene Wenger can secure the services of another defensive-midfielder before the end of the window. It’s not all bad news though, with Arsenal purported to be considering a swoop for Edinson Cavani having lost out on Karim Benzema. We say lost out, in truth they were never close to getting him. All the same the ‘chase’ for Cavani is a breathe of fresh air for fans at the very least.
