Heerenveen´s red-hot form continued with a 7-0 mauling of Vitesse on Saturday which fired them into second place in the Eredivise.

The hosts were two goals up at half-time courtesy of Miralem Sulejmani and Danijel Pranjic, and ran riot after the break with substitute Roy Beerens scoring two and Michael Bradley, Gianni Zuilverloon and Thomas Prager all grabbing a goal apiece.

It was a fourth straight win for Gertjan Verbeek´s men, who are nine points behind leaders PSV Eindhoven, proving there is life beyond the departure of prolific scorer Afonso Alves.
