Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven needed a last-minute goal from Danny Koevermans to see off rock-bottom Excelsior.

The defending champions toiled against their lowly opponents and looked set to drop two vital points when Excelsior´s Geert Den Ouden cancelled out Balazs Dzsudzsak´s opener with nine minutes to go.

But Koevermans, who had come on as a 61st-minute substitute for Jason Culina, grabbed the winner with time almost up to move PSV six points clear of the chasing pack.
