Manchester United to reject loan deal for Andreas Pereira

PSV want to strike a deal with Manchester United that would see them take Andreas Pereira on loan for the season, but the Red Devils are expected to turn the offer down, according to the latest information.

Reports this morning revealed how the Eredivisie champions were plotting to take Pereira on board this summer, having seen Memphis Depay move the other way in a permanent deal earlier this year.

It was also insinuated that the player himself might also be interested in taking PSV up on their offer, as he’s yet to be handed any evidence that he’ll feature for Louis van Gaal in United’s first-team this year.

Loan offer incoming

That’s in spite of the fact that he was impressive during pre-season and is widely tipped to have an exciting future ahead of him.

In a temporary spell at PSV he could become an important player, and he’d certainly be given plenty of opportunities to shine.

However, the latest, courtesy of a line in the Daily Mail, is that United are expected to rebuff PSV’s advances, which may indicate that Van Gaal plans to get some use out of Pereira yet.

Pereira stance

No matter what happens the young Brazilian will want to get as many minutes under his belt this year, and it makes sense to assume his development will be aided if he does.

In that respect Van Gaal should think long and carefully before turning PSV down, as a switch to Holland might well give the 19-year-old a platform on which to strut his stuff without any real pressure.
