Dolph Ziggler has always been an outspoken WWE Superstar, he is a former World Champion and was forced to drop the championship merely weeks after winning it when he sustained a concussion.

Ever since, WWE has been reluctant to push Ziggler because he is now down as injury prone and, given the saga surrounding Daniel Bryan earlier in the year, it is likely WWE don't want to put themselves into that position again.

New Deal

Despite all that, Ziggler signed a new contract with the company a month or so ago. He has finally revealed why.

Ziggler spoke to Scott Fishman of The Miami Herald recently as part of the a promotional thing for WWE 2k16, but conversation turned to his re-signing.

"The Show Off" revealed that he had a few reasons for staying with the WWE, but it all boiled down to his love of wrestling.

"My contract was coming up, and I was weighing a bunch of different option. I had a lot of outside offers to do some other things,"Ziggler said. "Instead I decided to settle on doing the thing I love the most and working for WWE."

Thankful Dolph

He went on to add that Vince McMahon's company still allows him to do his own thing when it comes to his burgeoning stand up comedy career.

"WWE has given me an out where any days off that I have they allow me to work on outside projects. So it's a win-win for everybody. I don't miss any work. I get to keep doing what I love."

Right now, Ziggler is still involved in a on-going feud with Rusev that features mainly around Lana and Summer Rae. The two met at SummerSlam last weekend but it ended in a double count-out as the WWE disappointed fans by having Ziggler just fail to return to the ring at the count of 10.
