After a busy first round in the 2015 NBA Draft, many thought the New York Knicks were done.

They had just traded Tim Hardaway Jr to the Hawks for the rights to draft Jerian Grant with the 19th pick overall, which was just hours removed from drafting of Kristaps Porzingis, their highest draft pick in 30 years.

However, when the Philadelphia 76ers got on the clock with the 35th pick in the draft, the Knicks got busy again.

While he is not expected to join the team for another year or two, great news came for Knicks fans who want to get a closer look at their overseas project as it was announced that he will be playing for the Spanish national team for Eurobasket 2015.

Among those names listed are quite a few former NBA players, Bulls' rising star Nikola Mirotic, and the legendary Spaniard Pau Gasol.  Playing with Gasol will be a huge advantage for the young Hernangomez, as Gasol has experience in Phil Jackson's Triangle Offense, a system the Knicks seem adamant on continuing.

If you are not familiar with the Spanish mystery man, watch his highlights from last season at Baloncesto Sevilla here.

The team opens on September 5th, 2015 against Serbia. Knicks fans should come prepared with their custom made Willy jerseys in anticipation for the debut of the possible Marc/Pau Gasol clone in a few years. That is, if we keep him.
