Benfica midfielder Augustin Binya has seen his appeal against a six-match European suspension rejected by UEFA.

Binya, 23, was dismissed during his side´s Champions League Group D encounter with Celtic on November 6 for an ugly challenge on Hoops midfielder Scott Brown.

When announcing the punishment on November 16, UEFA´s Control and Disciplinary Body referred to Binya´s actions as "a challenge that seriously endangered the physical health of the opposing player".
