Andy Murray will play Australian Nick Kyrgios in the first round of the US Open and could meet Roger Federer in the semi-finals.

The British number one, seeded third, played Kyrgios at both the Australian Open and French Open earlier this year, winning on both occasions without dropping a set.

The Greek youngster has made the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently - and was fined was fined $10,000 for remarks made to Swiss superstar Stanislas Wawrinka.

Murray is bidding to clinch his third grand slam title and regain the crown he won at Flushing Meadows in 2012.

He was dumped out of the tournament by Novak Djokovic in the quarter-finals last year, but after impressing at Wimbledon will fancy his chances of reaching the final this time around.
