Manchester United move for Neymar is not impossible, claims Juliano Belletti

Manchester United's reported chase of Neymar is one of the most surprising and unlikely rumours to arise this summer.

The Barcelona star has become one of football's world superstars in recent years and it was reported the Red Devils were preparing an eye watering £240 million deal for the Brazilian.

It is highly unlikely the deal will go through with Neymar very happy at the Catalan club, and Man United are not currently on the same level as the current European champions.

But former Barcelona player Juliano Belletti, who scored the winning goal against Arsenal in the 2006 Champions League final, believes a deal is not impossible, but is certain Neymar will remain at Barcelona.

As relayed by the Mirror, Belletti told Omnisport: "No I don't think so, Neymar is very happy in Barcelona.

"He has adapted to the team, the city and his family have adapted as well but nothing is impossible."

Man United have been linked with a number of big money moves this summer for the likes of Neymar and Thomas Muller, but it is likely both players will remain at their respective clubs.

As one of the biggest clubs in the world it comes as no surprise that United have the money to offer such fees for marquee signings, but it seems they will have to turn their attentions to more realistic signings with the transfer window coming to a close.

The Red Devils are still looking to make further additions to their squad and have lodged a £21.9m bid for Lazio's attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson.
