Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has branded Wayne Rooney an unusual superstar after he gave up the chance to score a fourth goal against Club Brugge. Having already secured his hat-trick in the Champions League qualifier Rooney gave Javier Hernandez the chance to and a 16-month goal drought but he slipped and pulled his shot wide. Herrera says their aren’t many top level strikers who would give up a penalty for the sake of the team. but praised Rooney for doing just that. Next and Manchester United may not sign any more players before the summer transfer window closes on Tuesday, but Victor Valdes and Jonny Evans are both expected to leave Old Trafford. That’s according to the Daily Mail who claim deals for the likes of Neymar and Thomas Muller aren’t on the cards. And finally Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel wants David de Gea to commit his long term future to the club.
