Brendan Rodgers won't comment on transfer speculation

Brendan Rodgers has refused to comment on speculate on rumours he could be willing to dip back into the transfer window before it shuts on Tuesday.

Liverpool have spent more than £75 million on new players so far this summer but he remains tight-lipped about any more new arrivals. He was happy to remark on Lazar Markovic’s loan move to Fenerbahce however, saying it suited both parties.

"I've always said I won't be speaking on any transfers, in or out," he said.

"But it's a good move for Mario. It suits both parties. He gets a season of playing football back in his homeland."

That’s according to the Super Lig’s club president, Fikret Orman, who claims that the powers that be at Anfield have backtracked on their position and are no longer seeking to get rid of the 28-year-old.
