New Chelsea signing Pedro took to Twitter last night ahead of his first home game for the Blues at Stamford Bridge.

The former Barcelona forward, who scored on his debut for the club against West Brom last weekend, has admitted that he's excited to play on home soil for the west London outfit and has insisted that the Premier League champions will fight to get the three points against Crystal Palace.

Chelsea, of course, will be determined to secure the three points against Alan Pardew's side after a tricky opening to the new season.

After failing to win their first two fixtures, Mourinho's side responded in style last weekend against the Baggies, and will now be hoping to secure the second consecutive victory in England's elite division.

One thing's for sure, new-boy Pedro will be hoping to impress in front of the Blues faithful against the Eagles.

Change of dynamics

There's no doubt about it, the signing of Pedro really should excite the Chelsea faithful. The Spanish international is one of the most established forward players in the game and will no doubt improve Mourinho's side this term.

Ultimately, with Pedro in the side, the Blues are a completely different force when on the attack. With the Spaniard roaming about alongside the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Eden Hazard and Willian, they have so much creativity in their ranks. Chelsea fans will no doubt be hoping that their new-boy produces the goods once again today.
