Barcelona superstar Neymar has ruled out a potential move to Manchester United, insisting he is happy at the Camp Nou.

Neymar, speaking after Barcelona’s 1-0 victory over Malaga on Saturday evening, told reporters it doesn’t matter how much money English clubs offer him because he wants to stay with his current employers.

“I want to stay at Barcelona, no matter how many million pound offers come from England,” he told TV3, according to the Daily Mail. “The people from Barca can be calm.

“When I hear things like this, I don't think anything. I just heard it and I am calm. I am very happy at Barca and with my colleagues.”

Neymar’s latest comments are at odds with a recent report from the Guardian, which stated the Brazilian forward is open to joining Manchester United.

Neymar's camp trying to negotiate improved deal?

It claimed Neymar was attracted by the size and history of the English giants, while the opportunity to test himself in the Premier League was also said to have appealed to the South American.

But the report may have leaked from Neymar’s camp in order to try and negotiate a new mega contract from Barcelona.

Neymar has three years left to run on his current deal at the Camp Nou but, after scoring 39 goals and helping Barcelona win an historic treble last season, his advisors will inevitably be pushing for a bumper pay rise.

Can Barcelona afford to renew Neymar and Messi?

With the club's highest earner Lionel Messi also poised for a contract renewal - and subsequent pay rise - in the next two years, it will be interesting to see how far Barcelona are prepared - or able - to stretch their budget in order to offer Neymar the huge money he wants.

Manchester United, it seems, are prepared to offer Neymar whatever he wants in order to come to Old Trafford - and have the budget available to make it happen in the near future.
