Football News
The Dutch FA have decided this will be the last season the Eredivisie will have a winter break of only one weekend and are working on a new schedule for the top flight.

In 2008-09 the winter break will be one week longer as the Olympic Games are held later than normal - prohibiting the possibility of starting the season earlier

But from the 2009-10 season it will last between five and six weeks, while the summer break will be much shorter with the Eredivisie possibly starting as early as July.
