The Dutch football association, the KNVB, have rescinded the one-match ban handed down to Ajax striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar after admitting to an administrative error.

The KNVB believed that Huntelaar´s yellow card against VVV Venlo on December 30 was his fifth of the campaign and announced that the player would be suspended for the game against AZ Alkmaar on January 13.

Ajax challenged the ruling and on further investigation the KNVB found that the 24-year-old had tallied just four bookings since the start of the season.
