Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has rubbished rumours he is set to offer star striker Amauri a four-year deal worth a staggering £7.4million.

The in-form frontman has alerted a host of top European clubs including Juventus and AC Milan after banging in the goals for the Sicilians since coming back from a cruciate ligament injury.

Zamparini revealed Palermo would not stand in Amauri´s way if he wanted a move, pouring cold water on reports he is to offer the 27-year-old £1.9m a year.
