Which Diva has impressed the most in the Divas Revolution?

The Divas Revolution certainly set the WWE alight with the debut of Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks.

Paige and the WWE Universe called for a change, and at one stage it looked as if we were seriously going to get one.

We were set for better storylines, better matches and the Divas in general were going to have more focus on them, certainly in a positive manner.

The WWE Universe were finally excited about the Divas division as we were hopefully going to see females compete in a manner we haven’t seen for many, many years.

Truth be told, the revolution hasn’t hit the heights we expected it would. Of course, there is a lot more media focus on the division, but it’s definitely not what the fans hoped for and expected.

Perhaps it all comes down to the fact that not all of the Divas involved in this three-team storyline are performing to the best of their abilities.

Although it’s great to see them all sharing the limelight, the focus has now shifted away from the Divas Championship; allowing Nikki Bella to overtake AJ Lee’s record – something that will happen very soon.

Some of them made their feelings pretty clear to the Brooklyn crowd this past week on Monday Night Raw, but did they deserve the criticism?

Nine Divas are involved in the supposed revolution, but which ones are actually impressing and making a different on a weekly basis? Let’s take a look.

Here’s an example of a Diva being heavily underutilised. She has a unique look about her and she should send shivers down the spines of the rest of the female roster.

She can’t connect with the fans though, and that’s a shame. Whilst she can work in the ring, talking on the microphone and displaying charisma doesn’t come naturally to her. Lucky for her, she’s aligned herself with two Divas who shine in various aspects.

If that wasn’t the case, you would forget Tamina was even part of this revolution.

I can’t seem to understand why Alicia Fox would be thrown with The Bella Twins, just for the sake of making up the numbers. Fox can also work, she has proven she can be a really good and irritable heel in the past.

In this revolution though, she’s taken a massive backward role which probably isn’t her fault. She’s behind Nikki Bella, the current Divas Champion.

Plus, the fact that their team is called Team Bella just shows the kind of role she’s been handed, it’s like she’s an afterthought.

Brie has definitely improved in the ring, you have to give her credit for that but she’s still far, far below the levels of most of the other women.

Brie is another who hasn’t really displayed anything different in the revolution. Like Fox, she’s standing at the back whilst the champion takes centre stage which is a shame.

Talking of champions taking centre stage, Nikki Bella has done very little as the champion in recent months. It’s clear she’ll overtake AJ Lee as the longest reigning Divas Champion in history but whether she deserves it is another question in itself.

Nikki could and probably should be higher up in the list, because she’s the most impressive from Team Bella who is actually talking on the microphone and performing well inside of the ring.

Can anyone really remember anything relevant in Nikki’s title reign? Her fans will always take her side, but if you believe the rumours that John Cena is the reason she’s still the champion and not Charlotte, it’s difficult trying to prove she’s one of the better Divas around.

Dropping the gold would have been something different, it would have been a change. Sometimes losing is not always a bad thing especially if it gets fans talking more about a revolution. In this case, nothing will change for quite a while.

#5 – NAOMI

You could argue that Naomi hasn’t exactly set the Divas division alight in recent months, but she’s still someone who deserves to have held the Divas Championship by now.

You have to give her credit for stepping out of her comfort zone though. She’s now a fiery heel who isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, and that doesn’t come naturally to every Diva.

She’s still a massive part of why Team B.A.D has so many fans, without her it would be extremely difficult for Sasha Banks to carry that team by herself.

Naomi wants change also, and I feel if she continues the way she is she’ll definitely have a title match in the near future, and hopefully she’s victorious in it too.

This is where it gets tricky. Any of the four remaining Divas have a solid case of being the best Diva in the revolution right now.

In Charlotte’s case, I just feel like while there are a lot of benefits being the daughter of Ric Flair, but at times there’s simply too much emphasis on it. That may not work in her favour all the time.

She needs to try and carve her own legacy. Sure, dropping in the Flair name here and there wouldn’t be a bad thing but now we have extremely high expectations of her, which she might even surpass.

Team PCB won’t last forever, and I expect Charlotte to be the one to dethrone Nikki. In fact, rumours suggest she should have already dethroned the champion if it wasn’t for a certain 15-time World Champion poking his nose in to the plans.

#3 – PAIGE

Paige was always going to be towards the top. She’s one of the big reasons the revolution started in the first place in her attempts to bring down The Bella Twins.

She failed on that occasion, as Nikki kept hold of her championship. She did however play an important role at SummerSlam when Team PCB were victorious in the three-team elimination match.

She’s achieved a lot already, at such a young age. I just feel that the reason she isn’t in the top two is because there’s a lot of focus on the NXT Divas who have been impressing a lot.

Because of their success, Paige has had to put a lot of work in to hang with them and so far she’s succeeding.

Becky Lynch is having an incredible year. She put on a great performance a few months ago in a losing effort to Sasha Banks for the NXT Championship.

Fast forward a few months and she picked up the vital pin fall to hand Team PCB the win at SummerSlam; that alone is a massive honour.

I do think Lynch is very underrated. She can work and she has the charisma and personality to succeed.

It comes as no surprise that she’s one of the most popular Divas on the main roster already. Her following is massive, and rightfully so.

Sasha Banks is easily the best Diva in the WWE today, and you could argue that she’s currently the best in the world.

She has her loyal fan base, she has a great gimmick, she has the personality, charisma and of course her in-ring ability is there for us all to see.

She can deal with pressure on any given night, in any match. We have seen that regularly on NXT and there’s a reason she was the final name announced when she made her main roster debut alongside Becky Lynch and Charlotte.

She has all the skills to be the Diva to carry the division in the near future, at a young age as well.

All of that mixed with her importance in the division. She’s relevant, she can work as well as her sky-high popularity just shows how important Banks is to the Divas Revolution; and to the WWE as a whole.

Although the Divas Revolution hasn’t hit the heights many of us expected. A handful of them are definitely doing their bit in trying to make a change.
