Stone Cold Steve Austin and Ric Flair have said they thought Sting should have won his WrestleMania 31 match against Triple H.
Speaking on the WOOOOO! Nation with Ric Flair podcast, the two WWE Hall of Famers discussed the match between The Game and The Icon at this years’ WrestleMania, and who currently in the WWE would be a good opponent for the former WCW star.
Austin couldn’t believe the way the WWE booked Sting in his first match in the business. He said: "I thought, 'man, you bring Sting in here and you beat him?' Man, do something where it looks like you're going to do the screwjob, but then something happens and [Sting] goes over on Triple H, who we all love. If you're going to bring Sting in, put him over."

I personally liked the outcome of the match because it was an awesome fight with the inclusion of the famous factions D-Generation X and the N.W.O. as well. It made a great WrestleMania moment.
I have a feeling Sting’s first win in the WWE will be coming sooner rather than later, possibly at Night of Champions when he faces Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This could cause an uproar amongst many fans as once again a part timer will have the top prize in the WWE.
Flair also added that he didn’t like the WrestleMania booking either and that he would have liked to have Kane wrestle instead of Triple H, but also said a future opponent for Sting could be Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 32.
Flair said: "Now that I've seen this other kid, Kevin Owens, Kevin Owens who is a legitimate heel would be a great opponent for [Sting] in Dallas. Owens has enough steam on him now and he actually is a heel."
