Arsenal always seem to find themselves in a situation were the team are almost perfect.

Arsene Wenger is still in desperate need of getting a deal done before the transfer window shuts later today.

It is said Arsenal are genuinely looking for a striker and Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani is reportedly in the frame for nearly £50 million - although whether there is enough time left and if fees and terms can be agreed will remain to be seen.

There is always last-minute deals to be done - as we saw last year with Danny Welbeck - and it's rare that big deals get pushed over the line so quickly. This deal may have been rushed due to United's urgent need to let go of the player.

There is lingering doubt if Arsenal will ever have the players they need because its obvious the club are in need of much more firepower upfront and that was highlighted by Arsenal's marginal win at Newcastle, leaving many fans questioning if Olivier Giroud's time is up at the Emirates Stadium, especially after some poor performances of late.

Arsenal, whilst dominating possession and having world class players in the squad, seem to be lacking that final touch to make all the build up play worthwhile.

Considering Manchester City’s blistering start to the season, all their rivals - including Arsenal - really need to strengthen their squads in order to catch them.

Theo Walcott is a player who needs more game time; he has the pace to get forward on the break and knows how to put a ball in the back of the net.

The most impressive player for Arsenal of late has to be 20-year-old Hector Bellerin who really shined on Saturdays clash with Newcastle and in their match up against Liverpool, it seems the Spaniard could deservedly become Wenger's first choice right-back.

It's no secret that Frenchman Olivier Giroud has been struggling to find his form so far this season and of course Welbeck has been out injured for so long Arsenal fans will be desperate to see a new striker come the end of deadline day.

The Gunners have plenty of areas in their squad in dire need of bolstering. Petr Cech is obviously a great buy for Arsenal and without doubt a fine keeper but fans will still hope Wenger raids the market before the window shuts as they clearly need of some more quality.
