Emmanuel Adebayor remains a Tottenham player after refusing to allow his contract to be terminated on transfer deadline day.
The 31-year-old Togo international is not part of Mauricio Pochettino's first-team plans at Spurs and has been heavily linked with a move to either Aston Villa or West Ham over the duration of the transfer window.
A potential loan move to Upton Park was ruled out when the Hammers signed their second domestic loan player in Chelsea's Victor Moses, with Premier League rules stating no more than two players from the same division can be loaned out at one time.

That left Adebayor needing to be a free agent to seal a permanent move, but it is understood the former Arsenal and Manchester City forward wanted his £5million salary for his final year paid out in full.
With no arrangement being made the Togo striker is now to remain at the club until the transfer window reopens in January.
