Football News

Brock Lesnar, despite his part-time status and defeat to The Undertaker at SummerSlam, remains perhaps the most dominant force in the WWE right now.

With such a stature the Beast Incarnate continues to be one of the biggest draws in the WWE and that means any match he is involved in becomes a much talked about event amongst the WWE Universe.

Opponent revealed

Today's news then that his oppenent for the much anticipated WWE Network event at Madison Square Gardens on October 3rd has been revealed with likely cause discussion.

As reported by Wrestling Inc.com, Lesnar will take on another giant superstar in the form of Big Show when the WWE visits the iconic Garden next month.

The match will see Lesnar make his return to the New York venue for the first time in over a decade, and, until the Big Show's name appeared on the MSG official website, many had expected Bo Dallas to be the man to compete against Lesnar.

Big moments

Whilst the Lesnar vs Big Show match is likely to be a one off for the live event and Network audience, the two Superstars have a long history together.

Indeed,  fans will be hoping the duo can produce another icon moment to match the one the two wrestlers came up with way back in 2003.

12 years ago on SmackDown the collective weight of the two monster Superstars combined to break the WWE ring they were doing battle in.

The last time they met was far easier for Brock Lesnar as he manhandled Big Show back in 2014.
