De Graafschap eased their relegation worries with a 2-1 victory over fellow Eredivisie strugglers Willem II on Friday.

The Tilburg-based hosts found themselves ahead following a Frank van der Struijk penalty, but the lead lasted just five minutes before Berry Powel restored parity.

The 32nd-minute dismissal of Willem II striker Frank Demouge then proved the turning point, with Donny De Groot grabbing a second for De Graafschap leaving the home side unable to respond.
