With Crystal Palace coming away from Stamford Bridge with a 2 - 1 victory over Chelsea on the 29 of August we saw a few things happen. We saw Palace consolidate their position in second in the league table - and saw them put the champions to the sword. We also saw Bakary Sako have another impressive game for the visitors playing a key role in both goals scored for the Eagles.

With the fixture holding scoreless for most of the game Sako was able to break the deadlock in the 65th minute. It was his second goal in his second appearance for his new club. An impressive start for a player who only a few seasons ago was helping the Wolves get out of League One.

After Chelsea scored an equaliser 14 minutes later Sako would have a part to play in the game winning score. Only two short minutes later he assisted Joel Ward whose shot ultimately gave Alan Pardew's men all three points.

Sako said after the match. “I’m very happy to be involved in this squad.

“I missed the first couple of games because I had to get my fitness right and played for the under-21s before the gaffer put me on the pitch, and I was happy that I scored last week and the same this week."

With the forward off to a hot start for Crystal Palace there is no doubt that supporters are pleased with his signing in early August. With a top 2 showdown coming up on September 12 you have to wonder whether or not the Eagles can upset the undefeated Manchester City.

Do you believe Sako can get on the score sheet against Manuel Pellegrini's men? What is your prediction for the upcoming fixture?
