WWE: Jim Ross seemingly takes a shot at the New Day

The New Day have absolutely taken the WWE by storm in the past few months or so.

New Day Rocks

Big E, Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston have been rewarded for their incredible performances on the mic and in the ring with a second stint as Tag Team Champions, winning the belts at SummerSlam.

And now the 'New Day Sucks' chants are changing slowly into 'New Day Rocks', and it's getting harder and harder to tell if the group are faces or heel any more. And Jim Ross didn't seem too happy with that.

Passive-Aggressive JR

The WWE Hall of Famer Ross posted a new blog entry over at his website earlier today. In it, he writes the most passive-aggressive paragraph ever written.

Ross tries to act like he is a really big fan of the New Day, saying as much in the piece, but he takes a shot at them for doing things that people actually find enjoyable rather than being stereotypical bad guy heels.

"Apparently New Day is going to be heels via simply being annoying as Hell and not by having legit, heel heat."

"I like the trio as they are highly entertaining but do you want your top villain, team to be overly entertaining or disliked? I've got no dog in the hunt but it would be awfully easy for this trio to be fan favorites," he went on to add.

Perfect As Is

What J.R doesn't get is, if the New Day were to turn face, it probably wouldn't last. Modern day WWE fans love to cheer for a bad guy.

But New Day just have to be left as they are, with Woods playing the trumpet while Kingston and Big E sing antagonizing songs and dance like crazy men. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and right now the New Day are the best thing in the WWE.
