Lyon slip-up gives hope to rivals

Battling Nice held Lyon to a goalless draw on Saturday, giving second-placed Nancy a chance to close the gap when they travel to face Strasbourg 24 hours later.

Lyon, going for a seventh consecutive title in France, began the day four points clear of the Lorraine club and fresh off a 3-0 win over Rangers in the Champions League.

But they could do very little against Nice and were very fortunate to earn a point because six minutes from time, the visitors had the best chance of the match.
