Mesut Ozil reveals what he needs to change if he’s to win the Ballon d’Or

Hello, Arsenal fans. Welcome to your daily roundup. Arsenal fans might regularly bemoan the inconsistent form of Mesut Ozil, but the former Real Madrid man believes he knows what he has to do to win the Ballon d’Or. If nothing else it’s confirmation that winning football’s most prestigious individual prize is still on his mind, with the Germany international admitting he needs to make himself more dangerous in front of goal. He described the process as having to become ‘more egotistical’, but it’s safe to assume he’ll still face an overwhelming challenge in knocking either Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi off of top stop. In other news Theo Walcott still thinks he has what it takes to fire Arsenal to glory, if he’s given a chance up top. The much-maligned wanna-be forward said he was confident he would score lots of goals if Arsene Wenger trusted him to lead the line, though did confirm that he was happy to play out wide if that’s the route that his manager opts for.
