Schalke coach Mirko Slomka has dropped Mladen Krstajic and Ivan Rakitic from Tuesday´s crucial Champions League clash with Rosenborg.

The first-team regulars were caught at a Duisburg disco celebrating into the early hours of Sunday morning along with teammate Jermaine Jones after a 2-2 draw with Frankfurt last weekend. Jones is already suspended for Tuesday´s fixture, but Slomka will not accept such behaviour ahead of such an important game and has dropped Krstajic and Rakitic.

"This is our first step, and we will see after the game how we deal with these three," said Schalke general manager Andreas Muller. "I am deeply disappointed and incredibly angry," he added on the club´s website.
