The San Francisco 49ers took a big risk when they signed Jarryd Hayne, giving the Rugby League star a $115,000 guarantee despite never playing football before at any real level.

Stupendous Start

That risk has looked like it was definitely worth it so far, with the Australian being the talk of NFL pre-season thanks to his dazzling displays that caught pretty much everyone off guard.

And Hayne continued his impressive pre-season form last night, adding another special play to his highlight collection in a win against the San Diego Chargers.

Hayne has shown a lot of flair in the previous games with his punt return and rushing work, but last night he showed off his brute force.

The 27-year old delivered an absolute crushing shoulder charge to Chargers Lovell Rose, leaving the defender on his backside and looking completely stunned. It was glorious.

Strength and Style

You can check the charge out below from the official NFL twitter account...

Hayne did more than just run over players, he also showed some nifty moves and agility to break off a big run that give credence to the belief that he could become more than just a punt returner and actually become a decent running back.

We're watching a fairytale story play out right in front of our eyes. So just sit back and enjoy it. All aboard the Hayne Train...
