New York Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has had a four-game suspension overturned, after a federal judge ruled against the punishment handed down by the NFL’s commissioner. Judge Richard Berman said Roger Goodell had gone too far in handing a ban to Brady for his supposed role in the ‘Deflategate’ controversy, criticising the league commissioner for dishing out his own justice. Brady has always maintained his innocence on the matter. Meanwhile in the NBA the Utah Jazz’s Dante Exum could be out for the season after undergoing surgery to fix a torn ACL. The 20-year-old sustained the injury last month in a friendly against Slovenia, and the Jazz have confirmed that his surgery was successful, but that he’ll return to Salt Lake City to begin rehabilitation.
