Five WWE stars who could partner Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose at Night of Champions

It has become evident ever since Braun Strowman made his main roster debut, that Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns are no longer a match for The Wyatt Family on their own, so they need a partner.

WWE have released a teaser for Monday night Raw that reads:

"Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns are two tough fellas. Yet the ever-expanding Wyatt Family seems to have simply overpowered the former Hounds of Justice thanks to the addition of mobile mountain Braun Strowman. The Black Sheep single-handedly tore both Ambrose and Reigns to pieces, which means they've got their work cut out for them if they're ever going to beat back the Wyatts again."

"Given that their relationship with their former third man is, erm, strained at the moment, will they be able to find an equalizer to level the playing field against The New Face of Fear?"

Here is a list of people who could join the former Shield members:

1. Samoa Joe

The former TNA superstar could be called up to the main roster to become a part of The Shield 2.0, it is highly unlikely but if WWE wanted to match brute strength with brute strength then you would have to think Samoa Joe would be one of the most likely candidates.

Joe defeated Baron Corbin at NXT Takeover Brooklyn and he seems like he hasn't skipped a beat despite his age, he would be a perfect addition to take the fight to the newest Wyatt Family member.

2. Brock Lesnar

It sounds strange, why would Brock Lesnar partner Dean and Roman? Well it's simple, there is a new beast in town and currently Lesnar has no target. It's not a good idea to leave Brock without an opponent and if he could feasibly work Night of Champions then he would be a great addition to the duo.

Brock would give Braun a baptism of fire if he was the one to step up, but it is highly unlikely that WWE would allow someone like Brock to step in the ring with The Black Sheep in one of his first WWE matches. It would have been great to see though, it seems Roman and Brock now have respect for each other so it could still happen.

3. Baron Corbin

Who else but Mr Unstoppable Baron Corbin? He has the look of The Shield and he must be knocking down the door for an opportunity on the main roster. Corbin has swept aside every challenge that has been put in his way until Samoa Joe last month and this could be the perfect opportunity for him to shine.

NXT does need to keep a strong mid-card if they want to continue to be the record setting brand that they have become, but this would be a great opportunity to showcase the talent that Corbin has.

4. Erick Rowan

Big Red himself has been missing from WWE for a while after he suffered a shoulder injury, he also turned on The Wyatt Family last year when he joined Team Cena instead of Team Authority along with Luke Harper.

It is unknown how far off a recovery Rowan is but it would be a tremendous swerve by WWE if they decided to bring back the Original Sheep to gain revenge on The Wyatt Family for leaving him behind.

The latest on Rowan is that he could be out with a torn bicep until November, but an early return is not completely out of the question.

5. Chris Jericho

Jericho is set to wrestle on the October 3rd edition of The Network show with Brock Lesnar, but remember when Jericho had an intense feud with Bray Wyatt? It was one of the strangest feud's WWE had had for a while and didn't leave either man in a good place after it ended.

Jericho is no happy to change his schedule of only wrestling on live shows as of yet, but for the right storyline Y2J could come back and he could help Roman and Dean to be victorious once more.

As yet WWE are only teasing a partner for the duo, can you think of a superstar that could fit in? Who do you think will finally overpower Braun?
