Metz will be forced to play a match behind closed doors if there is any repeat of the crowd trouble that marred their Ligue 1 clash against Strasbourg.

The October 6 match at the St-Symphorien was interrupted on two occasions by home fans, who first invaded the pitch and then threw missiles onto the playing area.

The disciplinary commission of the Ligue de Football Professionel (LFP) slapped Les Grenats with a sanction of a match behind closed doors, which is suspended for three years.
