Paul Pogba believes Anthony Martial will continue to improve at Manchester United following his £36 million summer transfer from AS Monaco - and the France international also revealed a special nickname for his talented compatriot.
Martial made his international debut for France last Friday, in the 1-0 friendly win over Portugal, after coming on as a second-half substitute.
The 19-year-old failed to make a significant impact during the 16 minutes he was on the pitch, but Pogba has already seen enough to know the Manchester United new boy will flourish for club and country.

“I call him ‘the young old man’ because he’s 19 and he’s already so mature for his age,” Pogba was quoted as saying by the Mirror. “I already knew him well, he has great ability and a huge amount of potential. He will bring a lot to the French team.
“I’m very happy for him, he’s changed clubs now, he’s in the Premier League where he will train with great players and will keep improving.”
Fans excited to catch first glimpse of Martial
Few Manchester United fans would have been aware of Martial prior to the end of last month, when news suddenly broke that the Red Devils were poised to sign the teenager for an astronomical fee.
But the same supporters are now eager to catch their first glimpse of Martial at Old Trafford, starting on Saturday when fierce rivals Liverpool visit the Theatre of Dreams.
Martial is a very quick forward with the ability to run in behind defences, but his former academy manager at Lyon, Remi Garde, told the Daily Mail this weekend that the youngster has a while to go before he becomes the finished article.
Garde said that, for all of his qualities, Martial must still improve both tactically and physically in order to fulfil his potential.
The new Thierry Henry, or the new David Bellion? Manchester United fans will soon find out.
