Toshack: Changes are working

Football News
John Toshack ended Wales´ roller-coaster Euro 2008 campaign believing he has been vindicated over the changes he is trying to make within the Welsh game.

Boss Toshack sent out a side of rookies and journeymen, plus just three Premier League stars, to earn a stunning draw against Germany in Frankfurt. A few weeks ago he was blasting his players for lacking pride and commitment after a shocking display in Cyprus that has cost Wales third spot in Group D. He got his answer in Frankfurt.

Toshack said: "There has been a reaction after what happened in Cyprus. That was poor and I knew that they had so much more in them. I decided then to do something to force a reaction, and said a few things about them."
