For every wrestler not working in the WWE right now, NXT is the place that they want to be.

NXT is easily the most exciting wrestling promotion around right now - with Lucha Underground in TV purgatory - thanks to its matches and stars drawing rave reviews after every special event they put on.

And the NXT roster got another huge boost today, as it was officially revealed that the WWE had signed Japanese sensation Kana.

Kana Signs

WWE today announced the signing of the international superstar Kanako Urai, aka Kana, to NXT. The Japanese star will start working at the WWE Performance Center at the end of this month, and could make her NXT debut weeks after.

Triple H revealed his delight in the statement about acquiring the extremely talented wrestler, as the WWE look to improve their international appeal.

Very Exciting

"We are very excited to have Kana join the NXT roster," said Paul Levesque. "Her exciting in-ring style will make an immediate impact on the already impressive NXT women's division."

Hunter, who is in control of NXT and is credited with a lot of its success, also took to Twitter to talk about the signing.

Last month, Kana made a surprise appearance at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn, sitting in the audience at ringside next to WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. That spotting first fanned the flames of a potential signing.
