With Jordan Henderson on the cover of FIFA 16 in the United Kingdom, Liverpool fans may have been forgiven for thinking the midfielder would get a rating befitting his front-cover status.

As the latest instalment of EA Sports' video game hits the shelves in 16 days, the ratings for the majority of the Reds' players have been released on FIFA Ultimate Team database, The ratings are expected to be confirmed by EA in the coming days.

Despite winning the first ever fans' poll, to be alongside Lionel Messi on the UK cover, England and Liverpool midfielder Henderson has been given a rating of 79/100.

Pretty harsh when you consider the impact he had on the Anfield club last season, scoring six goals and assisting nine in the Premier League, and even more strange when you realise it is one up from Kolo Toure.

As a squad, the Merseyside club do not have a single player over 85. Brazilian maestro Philippe Coutinho is the highest rated player at 84, with Daniel Sturridge one mark behind him on 83, despite an injury disrupted season.

New signings Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino are rated at 82, while fellow new addition and vice-captain James Milner is at 80.

Former Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne is an 81, alongside his defensive team-mates Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho.

Divock Origi and Danny Ings make up the Liverpool front-line, and have ratings of 75 and 76 respectively. In midfield, Lucas Leiva has the same rating as his captain, while Adam Lallana goes one better.

Surprisingly Joe Allen, at 77, is rated higher than young German midfielder Emre Can, who is given a disappointing 75 rating by EA.

Dejan Lovren and Alberto Moreno just miss out on the 80 mark, having been given 79s, while Simon Mignolet gets 78.

Young winger Jordon Ibe is rated a lowly 70, but could be a great addition on Ultimate Team, if you are planning to make a Premier League silver team. There is no news on Joe Gomez.
