Portugal need just a point to qualify for Euro 2008 after narrowly beating Armenia 1-0 in the penultimate round of matches in Group A on Saturday night.

Hugo Almeida netted the all-important goal for Luiz Felipe Scolari´s team just before half-time in Leiria´s Dr Magalhaes Stadium - one of the venues built for the last European Championships.

Poland qualified for Euro 2008 with a 2-0 victory over Belgium in Group A. Ebi Smolarek scored both goals in Chorzow. Serbia´s Group A clash at home to Kazakhstan was postponed due to snow.
