PSV Eindhoven´s hopes of installing Sef Vergoossen as their new coach have been dealt a blow with the Nagoya Grampus Eight boss revealing he is unlikely to be able to take over with the Dutch champions before Christmas.

Vergoossen is contracted to his Japanese club until the end of December, but had spoken to club officials about the possibility of leaving after the J-League´s final round of matches on December 1.

"I understand that PSV will now contact Nagoya themselves," Vergoossen told the Limburgs Dagblad newspaper. "I had hoped for a solution in which I could go to PSV right after the first playing round ends on December 1."
