Gazzaev extends CSKA deal

Football News
CSKA Moscow coach Valeri Gazzaev has extended his contract with the club until 2011.

After winning the previous two Russian championships CSKA could only finish the 2007 campaign in third place. And after a poor run in the Champions´ League, which has seen the army men pick up just one point in four games, there had been speculation that Gazzaev could be shown the door.

But CSKA president Yevgeni Giner denied such speculation last month and has made good on his word by offering Gazzaev a new four-year deal.
