Brown: Scots will not fear Italy

Football News
Scotland midfielder Scott Brown believes Italy may struggle to cope with the pace of Saturday´s Euro 2008 qualifier at Hampden.

Victory for either side would secure their place in next summer´s finals, while defeat would eliminate Scotland, but the hosts for the Glasgow clash are in a positive frame of mind, and Celtic livewire Brown predicted Italy will run the risk of being overwhelmed by Scotland´s sheer appetite for the fixture.

Brown told the Daily Record: "We believe in ourselves and we´re not frightened of anyone. We play with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. The Italians are older than us and I´m not sure they´ll be able to keep up with the pace we set."
