Villarreal came from a goal down to beat 10-man Sevilla 3-2 and move up to second place in the Primera Liga on Sunday.

In an open and entertaining encounter, Manuel Pellegrini´s side went ahead through Mexico striker Guillermo Franco on the half-hour mark, but were pegged back moments later by former Tottenham striker Fredi Kanoute before Brazil forward Luis Fabiano gave Sevilla the lead just after the break.

But the Andalusians were already down to 10 men following the dismissal of Daniel Alves just before half-time, and eventually buckled under the intense pressure applied by the home side.
