Football News

Bad news for the WWE. It looks like Ronda Rousey is most likely not going to be appearing at WrestleMania 32 next year as around that time, she will be filming a movie.

The UFC Women's Champion probably won't be at WrestleMania in Dallas next year as she will be in Indonesia filming a new movie, says Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

WWE have been targeting Rousey for a while, teasing a possible match with Stephanie McMahon. There was also talks about her teaming up with The Rock to go up against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. This stemmed from this year's WrestleMania where she made an appearance alongside The Rock to help remove The Authority from the ring.

But for now, it appears all of that will be put on hold for a while. The UFC Women's Champion will be filming a movie during the months of March and April next year in Indonesia, the height of WrestleMania season, meaning it would be impossible for the WWE to book her for anything.

Her UFC career could also be affected by her new movie role. Rousey is expected to have a fight at UFC 200 next year in July, but only squeezing in a three month training camp for that fight around shooting could be a problem.

You would expect the WWE to allow such a highly talented sports star like Rousey to make her debut at WrestleMania, so maybe we won't see her now until WrestleMania 33, wherever that may be.

If the WWE wanted to bring her in as soon as possible after her movie role, they could try and sign her to a deal where she appeared at SummerSlam next year.
