Earlier this week, it was revealed that Paul Pogba rejected a £69-million transfer to Chelsea from Juventus.
It was clear that Chelsea was never actually likely to sign the French international, but they were just showing the fans they were trying. Paul Pogba is unlikely to ever join Chelsea and here's why.
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu revealed an interest in Pogba, because in January 2016 Barcelona's transfer embargo is lifted and they wish to spend money on bringing the Juventus midfielder to the Camp Nou.

Pogba has also apparently revealed he wishes to win titles alongside Lionel Messi which is a big indication.
Also, Pogba has said himself that he never had any intention of leaving Juventus for Chelsea. As per the Evening Standard, he said the following on International duty with France "Why would I not stay? I didn’t have any motive to go, it wasn’t the right time."
Pogba is still only 22-years-old and has plenty of time to decide on his future, however, by his rapid rise as a major force in world football it doesn't look like Pogba's price will decrease any time soon.
Perhaps if Chelsea realistically wanted Pogba, they would have put in the asking price of £71 million. Jose Mourinho's actions regarding the Pogba interest were similar to the Arsene Wegner situation regarding Luis Suarez.
Where he purposely put a lower bid in to make it look to the Arsenal fans that an effort was made. Jose Mourinho has been in poor form recently and along with the doctor incident he may have wanted a smokescreen against the fans disappointment.
