Browns' Ball interest

Montee Ball might have only been dropped from the Denver Broncos on Sunday, but he’s already drawing interest from a host of NFL sides, according to reports.

It’s the Cleveland Browns who have been specifically linked with the 24-year-old, with Ball on their radar if they decide they want to invest in another back.

Ball reportedly has several options to consider, having been cut at the weekend after initially making the Broncos' 53-man roster.

Chancellor out of Seahawks' opener

In other news, Kam Chancellor has been ruled out of the Seattle Seahawks’ season opener against the St. Louis Rams, with Pete Carroll confirming that he won’t be playing.

The 27-year-old is still holding out for a new contract - he’s supposedly not happy with his current $4.5million salary - but it looks as though the Seahawks are ready to hold their ground in the ongoing battle.

Warriors' Curry approach

Across to the the NBA, and the Golden State Warriors made an attempt to sign Seth Curry this off-season, but he turned them down in favour of the Sacramento Kings.

According to reports, the younger Curry said he didn’t want to step into his elder brother’s shadow, and he has a guaranteed contract with the Kings, so few people can really argue with his decision.

Cavs sign Kaun

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have officially announced the signing of Eurobasket star Sasha Kaun. The Cavs are looking to go one better than last year by actually winning the Championship, and look to be adding to their strength in depth.

According to ESPN sources, Kaun’s deal is a two-year contract worth $2.5m, although the Cavs have yet to officially announce details.
