Big two ready for crunch clash

Football News
Lyon and Marseille, arguably France´s biggest two teams, are experiencing contrasting fortunes heading into their much-anticipated Ligue 1 clash this weekend.

For Lyon, things could not be going much better. Their 4-2 victory over Stuttgart on Wednesday means they are back in the race for qualification out of Champions League Group E, while they are four points clear at the top of Ligue 1 thanks to a five-match winning streak.

Marseille, meanwhile, are second bottom in the league after winning just one of their last eight games, and their 2-1 defeat to Porto on Tuesday means they are no longer assured of making the knockout stages of Europe´s elite club competition.
