Free-kicks leave Koster smiling

Football News
Ajax coach Adrie Koster was delighted to see his side score from two free-kicks in the 3-1 Dutch Cup win over Heerenveen on Wednesday.

Hedwiges Maduro and Klaas Jan Huntellar both headed home set pieces after John Heitinga had opened the scoring and the new coach says it was no coincidence that his side posed a threat from dead-ball situations.

Koster said: "We have practiced free-kicks a lot in the last week, because they are very important. Last week we saw at Sparta Rotterdam v PSV how important those dead-ball situations can be."
