Pedro Pauleta scored twice as Paris St Germain finally found some home comforts to see off Montpellier and reach the Coupe de la Ligue quarter-finals.

PSG came into the last-16 clash without a success at the Parc des Princes in seven attempts this season, but Pauleta´s strikes in the seventh and final minutes ended that dismal record.

The hosts stuttered to the final whistle and with the score at 1-0, they required a penalty save by Mickael Landreau from Gregory Lacombe´s 77th-minute spot-kick to preserve their lead.
